Announcement of Global COE Career-up Program Explanatory Meeting in fiscal 2008 and 2009
We are holding an explanatory metting again. The content of the second meeting is the same as the meeting on Dec., 4th.

We are holding an explanatory meeting of Career-up Program for December's recruitment in the following schedule. We would be grateful if you could attend the meeting.

We are recruiting
(c) Travel support funding for overseas conferences and workshops (From February to August, 2009)
(d) Support funding for visiting program for overseas institutes and fields (Old "Visiting program for overseas institutes/Internship program for domestic and overseas organizations") (From February, 2009 to March, 2010)
(e) Invitation fellowship program for overseas researcher A, B (From February to August, 2009)
(f) Invitation fellowship program for domestic researcher (From February to August, 2009)
(g) Original proposal for Career-up project A (less than 5M yen per case), B (less than 1M yen per case) (From February, 2009 to March, 2010)

There is no recruitment of two programs below which we had recruitment in last September. (We have recruitment next April in view)
(a) Research assistantship for doctoral candidate
(b) Research grant for young scientists
In addition to the programs above, Research grant for young professors in fiscal 2008 (less than 4M yen per case) will be announced on GCOE web pages around December 4th. This program is only for fiscal 2008 and intended for young professors who are under 40 years old as of April 1st, 2009 (including fixed-term staff ).
Official announcement of recruitment will be announced around December 4th on the web page of GCOE Career-up Program (http://www.ees.hokudai.ac.jp/gcoe/en/careerup/index.html).
We are repeating the explanatory meeting on December 8th. Application will be accepted until December 18th.
