Research field:

Atmospheric and oceanic sciences. We are seeking a candidate who will conduct the research mainly in the field of physical oceanography and atmospheric dynamics with a global perspective.

Education in charge:

Course in Atmosphere-Ocean and Climate Dynamics, Division of Earth System Science, Graduate School of Environmental Science.

Qualifications:

The applicant must have a doctoral degree. The candidate is expected to have a remarkable achievement in the related research field, and to contribute toward education and research for students in the above education course.

Probationary period: 3 months

Working hours:

Discretionary working system in the type of professional work. The working hours for a day is deemed as 7 hours and 45 minutes.

Salary and allowances:

Compensation based on the employment regulations of Hokkaido University

Social insurance:

Employees’ Pension Insurance (Kousei Nenkin), MEXT Mutual Aid Association Health Insurance, Employment Insurance, and Industrial Accident Compensation Insurance.

Minimum qualifications and requirements:
Applicants must have a PhD by the starting date of the appointment and the following professional competencies:
- to pursue research on the elucidation of ecological phenomena in aquatic ecosystems and biodiversity conservation through fieldwork as the main research method
- to facilitate a broad range of education based on the educational ideas of the Environmental Science Development Division

Duties and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following areas.
　Research field: Animal Ecology
　Scientific duties: Conducting research including fieldwork as described above
