Matsuno Environmental Science Award
2015-07-09Graduate School of Environmental Science established the Matsuno Environmental Science Award this year. This award recognizes outstanding research conducted by enrolled students, alumni, and alumnae of the Graduate School of Environmental Science. This award was funded by Prof. Taro Matsuno, an emeritus professor at Hokkaido University, with a part of prize money from his Blue Planet Prize awarded in 2013.
Eligible candidates for this award are enrolled students, alumni, and alumnae who have published papers as the first author in a peer-reviewed journal issued in the previous year or the year before. Papers must be based on research conducted during their enrollment period in the Graduate School. The committee selects up to 4 papers each year and recipients will be offered a certificate of recognition, prize money and a prize medal.
The 1st ceremony will be held on Homecoming day in September of this year. Results will be posted on the Graduate School website.
Please note that candidates are nominated by division chief; public offerings are not accepted.
