International symposium 'Changing Mountain Environment in Asia' will be held at Kathmandu in Nepal and will be webcast through Ustream.

Date: October 7-9, 2012
Location: Kathmandu, Nepal
Target: Researchers, graduate students, undergraduate students

This symposium focuses on
1) Vulnerability, resilience and sustainability of land system in Asian mountains,
2) Changing mountain environments in Asia,
The focus of the area is Asian mountains, but this symposium does not limit the areal coverage in Asia.

It is co-organized by Hokkaido University, Tribhuvan University, and GLP Sapporo Nodal Office with support of IFES-GCOE Office and Sustainability Weeks 2012, Hokkaido University.
