Title: “Report on Summer School 2011 in Indonesia”

Abstract:
The 3rd IFES-GCOE field short course was carried out at a tropical peatland
in Indonesia, which is globally gathering attention as a huge reservoir of
soil organic carbon. About sixty domestic and overseas participants
separated into two groups and visited peatland areas which were under
completely different conditions. In this seminar, not only reports by
participants from Hokudai, but also comments of domestic participants, who
are temporarily in Sapporo to attend a follow-up program for the summer
school, will be shown.
