Announcement for "Excellent Student Overseas Visits Program"

Under the support from the “Environmental Science Alumni Association”, we will open a recruitment for excellent doctor and master course students. Through this program, selected student could get a chance to give a presentation at an international conference hold in abroad.

Application eligibility: Students must satisfy the following conditions;

  1. Students must be doctor or master course student who belong to Graduate School of Environmental Science at the time of application and need to be done the registration for the Alumni Association before the application.
  2. Students must belong to Graduate School of Environmental Science at the time of departure.

Applicable travel: Travel to participate in an international overseas conference that an applicant gives a presentation.
Travel period: You are required to leave Japan sometime from October 1st 2017 to March 26th 2018.
Travel support: We support a roundtrip air ticket and an accommodation fee according to the rule set by the committee of this program; however, the maximum support is up to \100,000.
Number of adoptions: Maximum 2 students in one year. As a principal, one student will be adopted in each application period.

How to apply
Download the application form and fill out the form with the signature of your supervisor. It means that your supervisor has to agree that you attend the academic conference held in abroad. Then, make the PDF or word file, and submit the file to:

Submission

Selection and result: The committee will have a selection. You will be notified of a result by beginning of September, 2017.
Experience report: The selected students are required to submit the experience report, program and photos of the conference within one month after the return. The experience report will be introduced on the website. If you will present your work in the conference as a poster, the poster might be display at the home-coming day held in 2017 or 2018. In addition, winner might be asked to give short lecture concerning the conference in the home-coming day.

Under the support from the “Environmental Science Alumni Association”, we will open a recruitment for excellent master course students. Through this program, selected master course students could get a chance to give a presentation at an international conference held in overseas. The schedule of FY2014 recruitment will be informed near future.

Application eligibility: Students must satisfy the following conditions,

  • Students must be the master course students who belong to Graduate School of Environmental Science at the time of application and need to be done the registration for the Alumni Association before the application.
  • Students must belong to Graduate School of Environmental Science at the time of departure.

Travel you can do: Travel to participate in an international overseas conference that an applicant gives a presentation.

Travel period: You are required to leave Japan from October 1st 2013, to March 31st, 2014.

Travel support: We support a return air ticket and an accommodation fee according to the rule set by the committee of this program. The maximum support is up to \100,000.

Number of adoptions: Maximum 4 students. As a principal, one student will be adopted from one division.

Experience report: The selected students must sumbit the documents descirbed below within 30 days after the return. Essential submission: experience report and photos of the conference. When you make a poster presentation, you also submit the poster data and the printed poster of the presentation. The poster may be introduced on the web site and/or Home-coming Day. When you make an oral presentation, you may be an invited speaker on the GSES Home-coming Day.
